Origins You wil find that the Strahan name is a variation of the Scottish name Strachan, most agree that it' proper pronunciation is as one would say Strawn. Yet here in the United States and in the UK it has become spelt Strahan. Other name variations are Strawn, Strain, Strayhand, Strayhorn, Straughan, Straughn.
